Building Environment and Energy Application

    The major learning task in building environment and applied energy engineering is, through learning courses pertaining to heating and ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration, dedusting and cleaning technologies, as well as supply of water, gas and electricity etc. for building domestic equipments or systems, to create healthy and comfortable indoor environment in buildings based on the appropriate engineering measures. Students in this major will learn courses such as cold and hot source engineering (ground-source heat pump, ice storage and solar energy application), HVAC engineering (low-temperature radiant floor, central AC), supply and distribution technologies for water, electricity and gas (water supply and drainage in buildings, building electricity engineering), dedusting and cleaning technologies (ventilation and dedusting, clean room), energy-saving technologies (energy-saving technologies for building equipment, energy saving for fluid machinery and heat exchanger)

    Graduates from this major can work in areas involving design, installation, commissioning, operation and management of building equipments and systems, as well as the related energy saving services.
