Established in 1978, Changzhou University is a full-time public university jointly established by Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government, China National Petroleum Corporation(CNPC), China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec Group) and China National Offshore Oil Corporation(CNOOC). Changzhou university has complete talent cultivation system covering bachelor, master and doctor programs. The university has 26 schools and over 21,000 undergraduate students and over 4,000 graduates. CZU is a leading multidisciplinary university in Changzhou with a particular focus on engineering, science and management programs and has established strong links with business and governmental organizations. School of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering, founded in September 2010, is one of the most petroleum-featured schools of Changzhou University. School of Energy was founded in June 2021 to meet the needs of social energy development. Currently School of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering has 3 departments-Department of Oil-gas Storage and Transportation, Department of Petroleum Engineering, Department of Energy and Dynamical Engineering and 2 National Education (Teaching) Centers.
All the 3 majors are valued as first-class majors of Jiangsu Province.
